Our client is a leading technology company based in Tauranga, New Zealand, who are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, and driving growth for the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify potential clients and develop strategies to acquire new business
- Conduct market research to understand industry trends and identify potential opportunities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients
- Develop and deliver sales presentations to showcase our products and services
- Negotiate and close deals to meet or exceed sales targets
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement business development strategies
- Attend industry events and conferences to network and promote our company
- Keep up-to-date with industry developments and competitors' activities
- Provide regular reports on sales activities, progress, and challenges to management
- Continuously identify and pursue opportunities for business growth and expansion
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in business development or sales, preferably in the technology industry
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Strong networking and relationship-building abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of the local market and industry trends
- Willingness to travel for business purposes
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM software
- Valid driver's license
