Description of the role:

• Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
• Carry out day-to-day operations in all areas of accounting (accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, payments, fixed asset accounting, etc.)
• Coordinating financial operations with the rest of the team members.
• Complying with company policies and internal controls.
• Collaborate with controlling and IT teams to establish more effective processes and controls to ensure the integrity of the company's financial data.
• Ensuring that financial management policies and procedures adhere to regulatory standards
• Cooperation with internal and external partners (insurance companies, customers, tax advisors, auditors)
• Good communicator and key contact person for all matters in the accounting area
• Preparing monthly/annual VAT returns and statutory reports.

Needed qualifications:

• Minimum 3+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
• University degree Finance/Accounting/ Economics or similar. Degree as Certified Management Accountant (Bilanzbuchhalter) is considered an advantage.
• Familiar with German GAAP and the preparation of financial statements according to HGB is an advantage
• Good knowledge and experience with German VAT filings and regulations. Good knowledge of German CIT rules will be considered an advantage.
• Experience in an international environment is a benefit
• Experience working with ERP, Microsoft office and accounting software
• Fluent in English and Good level of German language.
• Good communication skills.

• Self-driven attitude with ability to act independently within the internal control framework and statutory regulations.
