We are seeking an experienced Pipe Yard Supervisor to oversee day-to-day yard operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and high-quality service. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and hands-on knowledge of pipe yard operations.
Position Summary
The Pipe Yard Supervisor will be responsible for managing personnel, equipment, and materials in a fast-paced yard environment. This includes supervising loading/unloading, storage, maintenance, and movement of pipe and related materials while enforcing company policies and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities

Supervise daily yard operations, including receiving, handling, storing, and shipping pipe and related products.

Ensure all employees follow proper safety protocols and company procedures.

Plan and assign work schedules, monitor performance, and provide training/coaching as needed.

Inspect pipe, equipment, and yard operations to ensure compliance with quality standards.

Coordinate with logistics, maintenance, and operations teams to meet production schedules.

Maintain accurate records of inventory, shipments, and yard activity.

Operate or oversee the use of heavy equipment (forklifts, cranes, loaders, etc.) safely and efficiently.

Conduct safety meetings, inspections, and audits.

Troubleshoot issues with equipment, materials, or personnel and implement corrective actions.

Communicate with management regarding yard productivity, staffing needs, and operational concerns.
Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent (associate or technical degree preferred).

Minimum 3 to 5 years of pipe yard, warehouse, or industrial operations experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.

Strong understanding of pipe handling, storage, and inspection procedures.

Ability to read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and technical documents.

Proficient in using basic computer systems for reporting and inventory tracking.

Knowledge of OSHA and industry safety standards.

Forklift/crane operator certification preferred.

Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Additional Requirement

Must be able to work rotating shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends as operational needs require.

Flexible scheduling is essential to ensure continuous supervision and support of pipe yard operations.
Bilingual (Spanish & English)
Physical Requirements

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding work.

Frequent standing, walking, bending, and climbing in outdoor environments.

Comfortable working in varying weather conditions and industrial settings.
Pay negotiable based on experience
