DIHO Consulting is seeking a highly motivated and self-managed individual to join our client's Material Management Department as a Shipping & Receiving Clerk. In this role, you will ensure incoming orders are accurately received and outgoing shipments are packaged securely, labeled correctly, and delivered on time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with the Logistics Coordinator and Material Handlers to monitor shipping schedules.

  • Verify incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy, including part numbers and quantities.

  • Communicate any backlogged orders to the Logistics Coordinator.

  • Process UPS and FedEx shipments; print and apply correct shipping labels.

  • Provide accurate weights and dimensions for freight shipments and label packages properly.

  • Operate forklift and overhead crane to load freight shipments onto carrier trucks (preferred, not required).

  • Provide shipping quotes to Customer Service (weights, dimensions, package count, etc.).

  • Serve as back-up for Receiving Clerk duties as needed.

  • Assist in the loading and unloading of materials, parts, and equipment.

  • Organize and maintain the storage of crating and boxing materials.

  • Maintain inventory of shipping supplies (wood, cardboard, crates, packing material, etc.).

  • Prepare equipment and materials for shipment according to documented procedures.

  • Pull materials from inventory when necessary.

  • Keep work area clean, safe, and organized at all times.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Ability to pass Forklift Training Certification.

  • Willingness to become proficient in company software (MAPICS, SharePoint, etc.).

  • Fluent in written and spoken English. Spanish, A +

  • Detail-oriented, self-directed, and a strong team player.

  • Availability to work overtime and Saturdays as needed.

  • Must be able to lift and move up to 55 lbs, per the physical requirements of the role.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in shipping/receiving.

  • Carpentry experience for building custom-size crates.

  • Forklift and overhead crane operation experience.

  • Familiarity with inventory or ERP systems such as MAPICS or SharePoint.

  • Experience loading/unloading equipment onto trucks.
