General Laborer – Restoration
Overview
The General Laborer supports restoration projects after water, fire, storm, or other property damage. This role involves hands-on work, assisting technicians, and helping prepare, clean, and restore residential and commercial sites.
Responsibilities
- Assist with water damage mitigation and basic cleanup.
- Support debris removal and light demolition (drywall, flooring, damaged materials).
- Help with fire/smoke cleaning and site preparation.
- Load, unload, and organize tools, equipment, and materials.
- Maintain clean and safe work areas.
- Assist with pack-outs, moving contents, and basic on-site tasks.
- Follow instructions from supervisors and technicians.
- Interact with customers professionally and respectfully.
- Perform other assigned duties.
Qualifications
- Valid drivers license preferred.
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions.
- Experience in construction, maintenance, or restoration is a plus.
- Able to work flexible hours, including occasional on-call.
Physical Requirements
- Lift/move up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Stand, walk, bend, and carry materials for extended periods.
- Work indoors/outdoors, sometimes in damaged or wet environments.
Travel
- Occasional travel based on job needs (less than 25%).
