Job Title: Quality Control Pipe Inspector

Our clients include major pipe manufacturing companies, and we are currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled Quality Control Pipe Inspector to join our team.

Job Summary:

As a Quality Control Pipe Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring that all pipes produced by our client company meet the highest quality standards. You will work closely with the production team to conduct thorough inspections and tests on the pipes, identify any defects or deviations from specifications, and provide detailed reports to management.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct visual and dimensional inspections on pipes at various stages of production, including raw materials, in-process, and finished products

- Use specialized tools and equipment to perform non-destructive testing (NDT) such as ultrasonic testing, magnetic particle testing, and dye penetrant testing

- Perform destructive testing on samples of pipes to verify their strength and integrity

- Monitor and document all quality control activities and maintain accurate records of test results

- Identify and report any non-conformities or deviations from specifications to the production team and management

- Work closely with the production team to troubleshoot any quality issues and provide recommendations for improvement

- Collaborate with other members of the quality control team to develop and implement quality control procedures and standards

- Stay up to date with industry standards and best practices in quality control for pipes and make recommendations for continuous improvement

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent, technical or vocational training in a related field preferred

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality control or inspection in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the pipe industry

- Knowledge of quality control techniques, tools, and standards

- Familiarity with non-destructive testing (NDT) methods and equipment

- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects and non-conformities

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work independently and in a team environment

- Proficient in using computers and software for data entry and reporting

Working Conditions:

This is a full-time position, with a standard workweek of 40 hours. The Quality Control Pipe Inspector will work on-site at our client's manufacturing facility, which may involve standing for extended periods, working in a noisy environment, and occasional lifting of heavy objects. Personal protective equipment will be provided.
