We are seeking an experienced Pipe Yard Mechanic to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial equipment and machinery used in pipe yard operations. This role requires strong mechanical skills, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on forklifts, cranes, pipe threading machines, hydraulic systems, and other yard equipment.

• Inspect equipment to identify issues, troubleshoot problems, and replace defective parts.

• Conduct preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure safe operations.

• Maintain and repair pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.

• Use diagnostic tools, manuals, and schematics to complete repairs accurately.

• Operate welding, cutting, and fabrication tools as needed for equipment repair.

• Keep detailed maintenance records, including parts used and work performed.

• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring compliance with all safety standards.

• Assist with other mechanical, fabrication, or yard-related tasks as directed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical school or certifications preferred.

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in equipment maintenance or as an industrial mechanic (pipe yard or oil & gas industry experience strongly preferred).

• Strong knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and schematics.

• Proficiency with tools such as wrenches, diagnostic equipment, welding and cutting tools, and power hand tools.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

• Valid driver's license; CDL a plus.

Physical Requirements

• Lift up to 50 lbs regularly; handle larger components with assistance.

• Bend, squat, climb, stoop, twist, and work in confined spaces.

• Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
