Position Summary

This position is primarily responsible for assisting the forklift operator with loading/unloading product onto or from trucks and moving pipe within the yard. The role also includes additional support tasks to maintain safe, efficient, and organized operations.

Responsibilities

• Follow both verbal and hand signal instructions to identify pipe to be moved.

• Verify heat numbers, quantity, and proper chocking of pipe.

• Install strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit.

• Assist with painting, stenciling, sandblasting, and coating pipes.

• Always follow safety precautions and wear the required PPE.

• Cross-train on alternate assignments and support other work areas as needed.

• Maintain housekeeping in the assigned work area.

• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.

Qualifications

• Ability to work flexible/extended hours and weekends (typical schedule: 50 hours per week).

• Must pass a background check and drug screen.

• Stable work history, preferably in an industrial environment.

• Reliable transportation.

• Strong commitment to safety policies and procedures.

• Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift and stack objects up to 50 lbs occasionally; frequently exert 1020 lbs.

• Requires long periods of standing, walking, kneeling, and reaching.

• May include climbing ladders and staircases.

• Ability to work in extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, rain).
