Position Summary

We are seeking a Pipe Yard Painter-Helper to support operations in painting, coating, and stenciling pipe. This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to perform physical work in outdoor environments.

Responsibilities

• Follow both verbal and hand signal instructions to identify pipe to be moved.

• Verify heat numbers, quantity, and proper chocking of pipe.

• Assist in painting, stenciling, and coating pipe.

• Spray each pipe with lacquer; after 1015 minutes of drying time, turn the pipe and repeat.

• After drying, assist the Lead in stenciling pipes to identify grade and size.

• Observe all safety precautions and wear the required PPE at all times.

• Cross-train on alternate assignments and assist in other work areas as needed.

• Maintain housekeeping in the assigned work area.

• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift and stack objects up to 50 lbs occasionally; frequently exert 1020 lbs to lift, carry, push, or pull.

• Requires long periods of standing, walking, kneeling, and reaching; may involve climbing ladders or staircases.

• Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, rain).

• Ability to wear a respiratory PPE mask when required.
