Job Description: We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Sheetmetal Mechanic to join our team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and repairing sheetmetal parts and structures for a variety of projects in the aerospace and defense industries. Key Responsibilities: - Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine project requirements and materials needed - Measure and mark sheetmetal according to specifications using measuring tools and equipment - Cut, bend, and shape sheetmetal using various hand and power tools - Weld, solder, and rivet sheetmetal parts together to form structures - Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy, making any necessary adjustments or repairs - Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure timely completion of projects - Maintain a clean and organized work area and adhere to all safety regulations and procedures - Keep up-to-date with industry developments and techniques to continuously improve skills and knowledge. Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent - Completion of a recognized sheetmetal mechanic apprenticeship program or equivalent experience - Minimum of 3 years of experience in sheetmetal fabrication and assembly - Knowledge of sheetmetal materials, tools, and equipment - Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints - Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision - Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills - Ability to work independently and in a team environment - Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.
