Job Summary
The Senior Project Scheduler is responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing integrated project schedules for large-scale construction projects. This role requires advanced expertise in Primavera P6, strong collaboration skills, and the ability to provide leadership—both formally and informally—in a fast-paced, highly collaborative project environment. The Scheduler partners closely with project management, engineering, construction, and cost controls teams to support successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and manage detailed, fully integrated project schedules using Primavera P6 for large, complex construction projects
Establish and maintain schedule logic, critical path analysis, milestones, and resource loading
Perform schedule updates, progress tracking, forecasting, and variance analysis
Analyze schedule impacts related to scope changes, design evolution, construction sequencing, and field conditions
Prepare and present schedule reports, dashboards, and recovery plans for project teams and leadership
Support change management, claims analysis, and time impact analyses as required
Facilitate schedule review meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to resolve conflicts and risks
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior schedulers and project team members
Proactively identify schedule risks and recommend mitigation strategies
Ensure scheduling best practices, standards, and governance are consistently applied
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
7+ years of project scheduling experience, with significant focus on large-scale construction projects
Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 (required)
Strong understanding of construction sequencing, work packaging, and project controls
Experience working in fast-paced, collaborative project environments
Demonstrated ability to influence, lead discussions, and drive alignment without direct authority
Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
Strong Primavera P6 experience (must have)
Exp in Power BI
Preferred Qualifications
Experience on mega-projects, EPC, or multi-phase construction programs
Exposure to cost controls, earned value management (EVM), or risk analysis
Formal or informal leadership experience (team lead, mentor, or functional lead)
Knowledge of contract scheduling requirements and delay/claims support
Professional certifications such as PMP, PSP, or PMI-SP

Leads by influence, fostering collaboration across engineering, construction, procurement, and controls
Coaches and supports team members to elevate overall scheduling maturity
Skills: Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, or related field (or equivalent experience), 7+ years of project scheduling experience, with significant focus on large-scale construction projects, Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 (required)
