Role Overview
A law firm in Naples, FL is seeking an experienced Paralegal to support its estate and trust administration practice. This role focuses on high-net-worth estate administration, Florida probate matters, trust settlements, and federal transfer tax filings within a fast-paced legal environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage estate and trust administration matters from asset collection through final distribution
- Prepare inventories, schedules, and accountings using financial and legal documentation
- Draft probate pleadings and fiduciary documents for attorney review and Florida e-filing
- Assist with preparation of IRS Forms 706, 709, and 1041
- Track deadlines and manage probate and trust administration schedules
- Serve as a liaison between attorneys, clients, beneficiaries, and financial institutions
- Utilize legal and tax software systems to organize case materials and filings
- Proofread and review documents for accuracy, compliance, and completeness
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of Florida estate and trust administration experience
- Hands-on experience preparing or assisting with Forms 706, 709, and 1041
- Knowledge of Florida probate procedures and e-filing systems
- Formal paralegal training, certificate, associate's degree, or equivalent experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Strong organizational, communication, and proofreading skills
- Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
