CDL-A Driver (Hostler/Yard + Local) | Home Daily | $25/Hr. Blue Springs, MO

We are hiring CDL-A drivers for a local hostler/yard and local driving position based in Blue Springs, MO. This is a steady, home daily role working directly with a dedicated customer.

Position Overview:

• Location: Blue Springs, MO (ZIP 64029)

• Hiring Area: Must live within approximately 40 miles

• Position Type: Local / Yard (Hostler) + Local Driving

• Equipment: Spotter unit

• Freight: No-touch

Pay & Compensation:

• Pay Rate: $25 per hour

• Average Weekly Earnings: Varies based on hours worked

• Overtime: Paid at straight time after 40 hours

• Bonus: No additional bonus offered

• No stop pay

• No short haul pay

• No unload pay

Schedule & Shifts:

• Shift Options:

  • 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM

  • 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM

• Schedule: Based on customer demand

• Peak Season (August – November):

  • Some weeks may include 9-hour days

  • Two hostlers per shift

• Non-Peak Season:

  • Reduced to 1 to 1.5 hostlers per shift

• Weekend Work: Not typical, but may be required depending on customer freight

• Holiday Work: Rare, but dependent on customer needs

Home Time:

• Home daily

Job Duties:

• Combination of yard spotting (hostler work) and local driving

• Moving trailers within the yard and supporting local operations

• Working closely with customer operations and schedules

Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years old

• Minimum 6 months of CDL-A tractor trailer experience required

• Valid CDL-A license

• No endorsements required

• Must be able to work either shift (day or night)

• Must live within hiring radius
