Job Description:

We are hiring CDL-A drivers for a local intermodal position based out of Troutdale, OR (Portland area). This is a home daily position running local freight in the Portland and Salem areas, with occasional loads crossing into Washington.

This is a high-activity account with consistent freight and strong short-haul pay, making it a great opportunity for drivers looking to stay local and earn steady income.

Position Details:

• Location: Troutdale / Portland, OR (ZIP 97060)
• Hiring Area: Must live within 25 miles
• Position Type: Local / Intermodal
• Schedule Options:
  • Sunday–Thursday
  • Tuesday–Saturday
• Shift: Day and night shift options available
• Home Time: Daily

Pay & Compensation:

• Average Weekly Pay: $1,400 – $1,800
• Mileage Pay: Approx. $0.65 CPM
• Short Haul Pay: $40 per load (1–50 miles)
• Weekly Miles: ~1,000 – 1,500

Most loads are short haul, so drivers can make $800–$1,000 weekly just from short haul pay alone

• Bonus: Up to $3,000 total
  • Paid as $500 increments every 50 loads completed
• Hourly Option Available: Up to $23/hour depending on experience

Freight & Equipment:

• Drop and hook, live load, and live unload
• No driver assist required
• Intermodal containers

Job Requirements:

• CDL-A License required
• Minimum 6 months tractor-trailer experience (trainees welcome through mentorship program)
• Must be willing to cross into Washington when needed
• Hazmat is not required, but:
  • Additional pay if obtained
  • Reimbursement available for endorsement cost

Additional Details:

• Majority of loads are under 50 miles
• Mix of local freight and dedicated lanes (including Walmart freight to Hermiston, OR)
