Role Overview

A regional dry bulk fleet based out of Chanute, KS is hiring CDL-A drivers for pneumatic bulk freight operations running throughout Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, and Illinois. This position offers strong weekly mileage, weekly home time, newer equipment, and additional pay incentives for drivers seeking consistent regional freight.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a CDL-A tractor-trailer hauling pneumatic dry bulk freight
  • Transport cement, sand, and limestone throughout regional Midwest and Southern lanes
  • Assist with loading procedures and perform offloading responsibilities
  • Maintain DOT compliance and company safety standards
  • Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections
  • Communicate professionally with dispatch and operations teams
  • Safely manage regional delivery schedules and routes

Requirements

  • Valid CDL-A license required
  • Minimum 6 months recent verifiable tractor-trailer experience required
  • OR 12 months verifiable tractor-trailer experience within the past 3 years
  • TWIC card required
  • Ability to assist with loading and unloading freight
  • Strong safety awareness and communication skills
  • Must live within 70 miles of Chanute, KS
  • No pets or passengers permitted

Compensation & Benefits

  • Average weekly pay: $1,200-$1,500 gross
  • Average weekly miles: 2,000-2,400
  • CPM pay based on experience
  • Utilization incentive available after 1,800+ miles weekly
  • Loading and unloading pay

  • Referral bonus: $1,500 total payout

    • $750 at hire
    • $750 after 90 days

  • Sunday evening or Monday morning start
