Drivers will operate within a consistent regional radius, running rail freight between terminals and customers with reliable weekly earnings.

Route & Freight Details

• Local runs within a 250-mile radius of Toledo, OH
• Primary rail yards:
  • Toledo, OH (Norfolk Southern)
  • North Baltimore, OH (BNSF/CSX)
• Additional freight lanes may include:
  • Cleveland, Columbus, Cincinnati
  • Michigan
  • Occasional Canada loads
• Hauling 53' intermodal containers
• 100% no-touch freight
• Average ~1,100 miles per week
• Average 15–20 loads per week

Schedule & Shift Options

This position offers multiple schedule and start time options:

Tuesday – Saturday (OFF Sunday & Monday)

• Start times:
  • 4:00 PM
  • 5:00 PM

Thursday – Monday (OFF Tuesday & Wednesday) – Weekend Wrap

• Start times:
  • 2:00 PM
  • 5:00 PM

Home daily on all shifts
Typical workday: 10–12 hours (avg ~10 hours)
Evening-focused schedules (less traffic, smoother runs)

Pay & Compensation

• Avg Weekly Pay: $1,420–$1,600
• Avg Annual Pay: $72,000 – $83,000

Mileage Pay:

• $0.36 – $0.50 CPM (based on shift and experience)

Additional Pay:

• $38 drop & hook per stop
• $51 live load/unload per stop
• $25 hazmat load pay
• $20/hour rail delay or breakdown pay
• $20/hour training pay (up to 2 weeks)
• $75 per round-trip border crossing (Canada loads)

• Day cab trucks
• 53' intermodal containers
• Slip seat operation
• Automatic trucks available
• No pets or passengers allowed

Requirements

• Valid CDL-A license
• Minimum 3 months of tractor-trailer experience required
• Must be able to obtain:
  • Hazmat endorsement within 60 days (reimbursed)
  • Tanker endorsement within 60 days (reimbursed)
• Must be willing to obtain:
  • Passport or enhanced license (for Canada loads)
