Route & Freight Details

• Local runs within a 250-mile radius of Columbus, OH
• Primary rail yard: Norfolk Southern (Lockbourne, OH)
• Additional freight may run through:
  • North Baltimore, OH (BNSF/CSX)
  • Cincinnati rail yard
• Average ~1,200 miles per week
• Average 3–4 loads per day (~16 loads/week)
• Majority no-touch freight
• Hauling intermodal containers
• Consistent, high-volume freight

Schedule & Shift Options

This position offers multiple schedules and start times:

Sunday – Thursday (OFF Friday & Saturday)

• Start time:
  • 10:00 PM (night shift)

Tuesday – Saturday (OFF Sunday & Monday)

Day Shift Option:

• 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM start window

Night Shift Options:

• 8:00 PM – 10:00 PM start window
• 9:00 PM – 11:00 PM start window

Thursday – Monday (OFF Tuesday & Wednesday) – Weekend Wrap

Day Shift Option:

• 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM start window

Night Shift Option:

• 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM start window

All schedules are home daily
Typical workday: 10–12 hours (avg ~10 hours)

Pay & Compensation

• Avg Weekly Pay: $1,420–$1,635
• Avg Annual Pay: $74,000 – $85,000

Mileage Pay:

• $0.34 – $0.46 CPM (based on experience)

Additional Pay:

• $33 drop & hook per stop
• $43 live load/unload per stop
• $25 hazmat load pay
• $20/hour detention / rail delay pay
• $20/hour training pay
• Weekend wrap incentive: +$0.05 CPM on select schedules

Equipment & Work Setup

• Day cab trucks
• Intermodal containers
• Slip seat operation
• Trucks shared between shifts

Requirements

• Valid CDL-A license
• Minimum 3 months of tractor-trailer experience required
• Must live within commuting distance of Lockbourne, OH (Columbus area)
• Must obtain:
  • Hazmat endorsement within 60 days (reimbursed)
  • Tanker endorsement within 60 days (reimbursed)
