Position Overview

Now hiring CDL-A drivers for a local dedicated grocery delivery position based in Gordonsville, VA. This role offers daily home time, consistent routes, and steady freight with strong weekly earning potential.

Drivers will deliver grocery freight to retail locations with a mix of short and mid-range routes.

Route & Freight Details

• Local deliveries across:
  • Virginia, North Carolina, Maryland, Pennsylvania, West Virginia
• Freight includes:
  • Dry and refrigerated grocery freight
• 100% no-touch freight
• Mix of:
  • Live unload
  • Drop & hook
• Average:
  • ~1,600–1,700 miles per week
  • ~2 routes per day
• Typical shift length:
  • 11–14 hours

Schedule

• Home daily
• 5 days on / 2 days off (same days each week)
• Start time window:
  • 12:00 PM – 12:00 AM
• Must be available for:
  • Afternoon and night shifts
  • Weekends
  • Holidays
• 48-hour reset weekly

No guaranteed weekend-off schedules

Pay & Compensation

• Avg Weekly Pay: $1,300 (after ramp-up)
• Top Weekly Pay: $1,500+

Mileage Pay (based on experience):

• $0.56 – $0.63 CPM

Additional Pay:

• $20 stop pay
• Minimum route pay for short loads ($40–$90 depending on miles)

Bonuses

• $2,500 sign-on bonus (paid in increments)

Equipment & Work Setup

• Newer model day cab trucks
• Slip seat operation
• Must have reliable transportation to terminal daily
• 24/7 support and maintenance available

Training

• 1-day onsite training: $125
• 3–4 ride-alongs: $50 each

Requirements

• Valid CDL-A license
• Minimum 3 months of tractor-trailer experience required
• Must live within commuting distance of Gordonsville, VA (22942)
• Must be able to work:
  • Nights, weekends, and holidays
• Must have strong customer service and safety mindset
