Position Overview
Now hiring CDL-A drivers for a semi-local dedicated delivery position based in Reno, NV. This role offers high weekly earning potential, frequent home time, and consistent freight, with routes across the Western U.S. and occasional Canada runs.
Drivers will deliver building materials with a hands-on role that includes unloading and customer interaction.
Route & Freight Details

Semi-local runs across:
- CA, OR, WA, UT, AZ, NM
- Occasional Canada deliveries

Average:
- 4–8 stops per day

Freight includes:
- Windows and doors (heavy building materials)

Product weight:
- 80–200 lbs average (up to 800 lbs)

Drivers:
- Assist with unloading at each stop
- Scan and verify deliveries
- Re-secure loads between stops
- Regular travel over Donner Pass (mountain driving)
Schedule & Home Time
- Monday – Friday (primary schedule)

Start time:
- 3:00 AM – 5:00 AM

Typical workday:
- 12–14 hours

Drivers typically:
- Layover 3–4 nights per week
- Have frequent home time between runs
Semi-local structure (not full OTR, but not daily home)
Consistent weekday schedule
Pay & Compensation
- Avg Weekly Pay: $1,700–$2,000
- Avg Annual Pay: ~$100,000
Pay Structure:
- $0.52 CPM
- $60 stop pay
- $18/hour base pay
Additional Pay:
- $300/day training pay
- $200 holiday pay
Equipment & Work Setup
- Automatic sleeper trucks (Freightliner & International)
- 48' and 53' dry van trailers
- Assigned trucks
- Trucks remain at account during home time
Work Environment
- Highly physical position (driver unload required)
- Frequent customer interaction
- Mountain driving and winter conditions required

- Chain tires when needed
Requirements
- Valid CDL-A license
- Minimum 3 months of tractor-trailer experience required

Must be able to:
- Handle heavy freight (up to 800 lbs)
- Work physically demanding routes
- Provide strong customer service
- Passport required for Canada routes
