Now hiring CDL-A drivers for a local intermodal position based in Indianapolis, IN. This is a home daily position with steady freight, consistent miles, and multiple shift options available to fit your lifestyle.

Drivers run dedicated routes with reliable scheduling and strong weekly earning potential.

Route & Freight Details

• Local runs within 100–200 mile radius of Indianapolis
• Primary lane: Indianapolis Chicago daily turns
• Average ~2,000 miles per week
• Average ~17 loads per week
• 75% drop & hook
• Majority no-touch freight
• Consistent, high-volume intermodal freight

Schedule & Shift Options

This position offers multiple start times and schedule options, allowing you to choose what fits your lifestyle best:

Start Time Options:

• Late morning: 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM
• Afternoon: 3:00 PM
• Evening/Night: 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM
• Overnight: 1:00 AM

Schedule Options:

• Tuesday – Saturday (OFF Sunday & Monday)
• Sunday – Thursday (OFF Friday & Saturday)
• Friday – Tuesday (OFF Wednesday & Thursday)

Home daily on all schedules
Mix of day, evening, and night driving available
Weekend and holiday work may be required depending on shift

Pay & Compensation

• Avg Weekly Pay: $1,385–$1,540
• Avg Annual Pay: $72,000 – $80,000

Mileage Pay:

• $0.50 – $0.57 CPM (based on experience)

Additional Pay:

• $45 live load/unload
• $25 drop & hook
• $15 out-of-route moves
• $15/hr rail delay (after 1 hour)
• $20/hr detention (after 1.5 hours)
• $20/hr training pay

Sign-On Bonus: $5,000 (conditions apply)

Equipment & Work Setup

• Day cab trucks
• 53' intermodal containers
• Slip seat operation (truck stays at terminal)
• No pets or riders allowed

Requirements

• Valid CDL-A license
• Minimum 3 months of tractor-trailer experience required
• Must live within 50 miles of Indianapolis, IN (46221)
• Must obtain Hazmat endorsement within 60 days (reimbursed)
