A leading energy infrastructure organization is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer III to support complex electrical engineering projects involving power distribution systems, high-voltage equipment, and critical infrastructure operations.

This onsite opportunity offers $54/hr and is ideal for engineers with strong experience in power systems, electrical design, and industrial infrastructure environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and support electrical systems and power distribution networks
  • Develop one-line diagrams, electrical schematics, system layouts, and load calculations
  • Support projects involving transformers, switchgear, generators, and high-voltage equipment
  • Participate in engineering projects from concept through execution
  • Support upgrades to existing electrical infrastructure and new facility projects
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and operations teams
  • Support safety initiatives including arc flash mitigation and fault detection systems
  • Assist with commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, and startup activities
  • Ensure compliance with applicable electrical and safety standards

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering field
  • 10+ years of electrical engineering experience
  • Experience with power distribution systems and electrical infrastructure
  • Strong knowledge of high-voltage equipment including transformers, generators, and switchgear
  • Experience developing electrical schematics and one-line diagrams
  • Strong troubleshooting and project coordination skills
  • Ability to work in industrial or energy-related environments

Preferred:

  • PE license
  • PLC/HMI experience
  • Arc flash study experience
  • FEED, EPC, or industrial facility project experience
  • ETAP, MATLAB, PSCAD, or similar power analysis tools
  • Renewable energy or grid integration experience

Compensation & Details:

  • $54/hr pay rate
