CDL-A Truck Driver | Mechanicville, NY | Home Daily | $76K–$100K

We are hiring CDL-A drivers for a local intermodal position based in Mechanicville, NY (Albany area). This position offers daily home time, steady miles, and no-touch freight.

Position Details:

• Location: Mechanicville, NY (12118)

• Operating area: 250-mile radius

• Home time: Daily

• Schedule options: Tuesday–Saturday or Sunday–Thursday

• Start times: 6:00 PM or 9:00 PM

• Shift length: Approximately 12 hours

• Average miles/week: 1,800

Pay & Compensation:

• $0.44 – $0.50 CPM

• Average annual pay: $76,000 – $100,000

• Drop & hook: $40 per stop

• Live load/unload: $65 per stop

• Driver load/unload: $45 per stop

• Hazmat pay: $25 per load

• Detention pay: $20–$25/hour after 1 hour

• Rail delay/breakdown: $20/hour

• Yard checks: $20/hour

• Safety training pay: $20/hour

• Training pay: $200/day

• Holiday pay: $210/day

• Jury duty/bereavement: $180/day

Freight & Equipment:

• Intermodal container freight

• No-touch freight

• Day cabs

• 53' containers

• Slip-seat operation

• Trucks remain at ramp during time off

• No NYC routes

Requirements:

• Valid Class A CDL

• Minimum 3 months of verifiable tractor-trailer experience

• Must meet DOT and safety requirements

• Hazmat endorsement required within 90 days (reimbursed)

Additional Info:

• Uniform shirts required (5 provided at hire)

• Paid online orientation

PTO & Time Off:

• Year 1: 18 paid days (12 PTO + 6 holidays)

• 1–5 years: 22 days

• 6–13 years: 27 days

• 14–18 years: 30 days
