Position Overview

Now hiring CDL-A drivers for an OTR solo dry van position based out of the Midwest (Minneapolis, MN hiring area). This role offers high CPM pay, long-haul miles, and extended home time after each run, making it ideal for drivers who want to maximize earnings and then take meaningful time off.

Drivers will run over-the-road routes with consistent freight and predictable scheduling.

Route & Freight Details

  • OTR runs across:
    • Midwest and nationwide lanes (no restricted regions)
  • Freight includes:
    • Full truckload dry van freight
  • 100% no-touch freight
  • No runs into:
    • NYC, Canada, or Mexico
  • Consistent, well-planned freight lanes

Schedule

  • 18 days out / 5 full days home
  • Long-haul, high-mile routes
  • Predictable dispatch and planning
  • Ideal for drivers who prefer:
    • Longer runs
    • Extended time off between cycles

Strong balance of income + extended home time

Pay & Compensation

  • Avg Weekly Pay: $1,600–$2,000
  • Avg Annual Pay: ~$90,000+

Mileage Pay:

  • $0.65 – $0.70 CPM (based on experience & endorsements)

Additional Pay:

  • Short haul pay: $25–$35 per load
  • Detention pay after 1 hour
  • Safety bonuses every 90 days:
    • Up to $875 + PTO
  • $600 on-road safety bonus (quarterly)
  • $100 annual service bonus

Bonuses

  • Sign-on bonus up to $1,475 (based on qualifications)
  • Additional $600 bonus after 30 days

Equipment & Work Setup

  • Late-model Freightliner Cascadia & Kenworth T680
  • Automatic transmissions
  • Fully equipped trucks:
    • Refrigerator
    • Microwave
    • Flat-screen TV
    • Inverter
  • Governed speeds:
    • 65 MPH (up to 68 with optimization)
  • Assigned trucks (no slip seating)

Work Environment

  • No-touch freight = minimal physical labor
  • Long-haul OTR routes

Requirements

  • Valid CDL-A license
  • Minimum 6 months of tractor-trailer experience required
  • Must be able to:
    • Run extended OTR routes
    • Stay out for full 18-day schedule
    • Maintain safety and compliance standards
