Sr. HR Generalist / People Ops Lead - San Francisco, CA - $160K-$185K

Location: On-site five days a week in San Francisco, CA

Compensation: $160,000-$185,000 base, with some equity on the table

A Series A AI company building enterprise-grade AI agents for some of the world's largest B2C brands is hiring its first dedicated HR professional. This is a founding, high-ownership People Operations role with real impact from day one.

What You'll Own:

- The full employee lifecycle — onboarding, offboarding, documentation, and compliance

- Benefits administration and HRIS management

- Payroll partnership with Finance

- Building scalable HR processes largely from scratch

- As the foundation solidifies, broader people programs like culture, manager enablement, and employee experience

What You'll Bring:

- 4-8 years of HR experience

- Experience as a first or second HR hire at a venture-backed startup

- Strong California employment law fluency

- Comfort being the sole HR owner without a large team behind you

- Based in the SF Bay Area; no visa sponsorship available
