Role Overview

A healthcare facility in Clinton, IA is seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse for a 21-day onsite contract assignment. This role provides critical emergency nursing care in a fast-paced Emergency Department environment during night shift hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and provide emergency nursing care to patients in acute and emergent situations
• Implement and manage individualized patient care plans
• Administer medications, treatments, and physician-ordered interventions
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, paramedics, and interdisciplinary care teams
• Monitor patient conditions and document care accurately within medical records
• Coordinate discharge planning, patient education, and follow-up care instructions
• Respond effectively to high-acuity and rapidly changing patient conditions

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience required
• Current Iowa RN license required
• Current BLS/CPR certification required
• Strong emergency assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work effectively in high-stress, fast-paced environments
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient advocacy skills
• Ability to manage multiple patients and competing priorities simultaneously

Nice-to-Haves

• ACLS certification preferred
• PALS certification preferred
• TNCC certification preferred
• Previous traveler or contract nursing experience
• Experience with EHR and emergency nursing documentation systems

Compensation

• $59.62/hour
• 36 hours per week
• Night shift schedule
• 21-day contract assignment
• Consistent scheduling during contract period

Schedule

• Monday–Friday
• 7:00 PM–7:30 AM CST
• 12-hour night shifts
• Onsite in Clinton, IA
