Role Overview
A regional tanker fleet based out of Childersburg, AL is hiring experienced CDL-A drivers for liquid freight operations throughout the Southeast and Midwest. This position offers consistent regional freight, strong mileage, all resets at home, and additional incentive pay for experienced tanker and hazmat drivers.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a CDL-A tractor-trailer hauling liquid freight
- Use pumps and hoses to unload freight into tanks and totes
- Transport regional tanker freight safely and efficiently
- Maintain DOT, hazmat, and tanker compliance standards
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Communicate professionally with dispatch and operations teams
- Safely manage regional delivery schedules and routes
Requirements
- Valid CDL-A license required
- Tanker endorsement required
- Hazmat endorsement required
- TWIC card required
- Minimum 24 months recent verifiable tractor-trailer experience required
- OR minimum 6 months previous liquid tanker experience
- Ability to safely use pumps and hoses for unloading
- Strong safety awareness and communication skills
- Must live within 70 miles of Childersburg, AL
- No pets or passengers permitted
Compensation & Benefits
- Average weekly pay: $1,200-$1,500 gross
- Average weekly miles: Approximately 2,000
- CPM pay based on experience
- Additional utilization incentive available
- Loading and unloading pay
- Preloading day pay opportunities
- Referral bonus: $1,500 total payout
- $750 at hire
- $750 after 90 days

Schedule & Home Time
- Regional operation
- Schedule varies based on freight
- Typically 1-2 nights out per trip
- All resets completed at home
- Many Sunday start times

- Liquid tanker freight
- Drivers use pumps and hoses to unload product
- Regional lanes throughout:
- Alabama
- Georgia
- Kentucky
- North Carolina
- Indiana
- Ohio
- Tennessee
- Texas
Equipment
- 2019 and newer Mack and International trucks
- Governed at 65 mph pedal / 68 mph cruise
- Parking available onsite or at management-approved locations
