Position Overview

Now hiring CDL-A drivers for a local flatbed shuttle position based in Lafayette, IN. This role supports manufacturing operations by moving industrial components between facilities with daily home time and steady hourly pay.

Drivers will run short, consistent routes with reliable scheduling and overtime opportunities.

Route & Freight Details

• Local shuttle runs in and around Lafayette, IN
• Occasional runs to nearby surrounding locations
• Hauling:
  • Engines
  • Generators
  • Radiators
  • Industrial components
• Live load/unload freight
• Flatbed operation requiring securement and tarping
• Short-haul, high-frequency movements (miles not primary factor)

Schedule & Shift Options

Multiple shift options available depending on plant operations:

3rd Shift (Primary Opening)

• Sunday – Thursday OR Thursday – Monday
• 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM

Other Shift Options (may be available)

• 1st Shift: Monday – Friday (6:00 AM – 4:00 PM)
• Additional shifts may vary based on production needs

Home daily
Schedule provided weekly based on plant demand
Weekend availability required

Pay & Compensation

• Avg Weekly Pay: $1,300–$1,600
• Pay Type: Hourly

Base Pay (by shift):

• 1st Shift: $25/hour
• 2nd Shift: $27/hour
• 3rd Shift: $28/hour

Additional Pay:

• Overtime paid at time-and-a-half after 40 hours
• $500 transition bonus (paid on 2nd paycheck)
• $3,000 referral bonus available

Equipment & Work Setup

• 2016–2023 Kenworth tractors
• Step deck trailers (primarily)
• Occasional double drop trailers
• Trucks governed at 65 MPH
• Onsite parking available
• Non-slip seat position (subject to change)

Requirements

• Valid CDL-A license
• Minimum 12 months of tractor-trailer experience required
• Must have:
  • Flatbed experience (securement, chains, binders, tarping)
• Must be able to:
  • Perform load securement and tarping
  • Work night shifts and weekends
• Must live within 50 miles of Lafayette, IN

Orientation

• 2-day paid orientation in Atlanta, GA ($500 total)
• Travel provided (flight or rental car depending on distance)
• Hotel and meals included
