Role Overview

A high-functioning Emergency Department in the Dallas metro area is seeking experienced Emergency Medicine Physicians for a permanent 1099 opportunity. This position offers strong APP support, manageable shift structures, Epic EMR, and predictable scheduling in a collaborative clinical environment.

Schedule & Coverage

• 9-10 hour shifts
• Flexible scheduling available
• APP coverage includes:
  • 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
  • 12:00 PM – 10:00 PM
  • 6:00 PM – 4:00 AM
• Predictable scheduling with overlapping support coverage

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality emergency medical care
• Evaluate and treat acute and emergent medical conditions
• Coordinate care with physicians, APPs, nurses, and specialists
• Supervise APPs during overlapping coverage periods
• Maintain accurate documentation within Epic EMR
• Follow clinical quality and patient safety standards

Requirements

• ABEM or AOBEM board certification required
  OR
• FM/IM board certification with 2+ years recent hospital-based ER experience
• Active ATLS, ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
• Eligible for Texas medical licensure
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Strong emergency medicine clinical background
