Position: Product Analyst

Direct Recruit Agency is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Product Analyst to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. As a Product Analyst, you will play a critical role in the development and success of our products by conducting market research, analyzing data, and providing insights to inform product strategy and decision-making.

Team size: Dev Team (~10 team members), business stakeholders (~30 team members), product team (8 team members)

Key aspects of the role: Work closely with business stakeholders and the squad to refine requirements, update user stories, and ensure backlog readiness for each sprint.

Day-to-day Expectations: Partner with business stakeholders to refine and document requirements, ensuring user stories and acceptance criteria accurately reflect business needs and are prioritized for upcoming sprints Collaborate with PO, dev team, and UAT coordinator to keep the backlog current, updating stories, clarifying scope, resolving blockers, and confirming readiness for sprint planning and grooming sessions Coordinate with support user acceptance testing by ensuring test cases are prepared in time and consolidating stakeholder feedback for signoff.

30-60-90 Day Expectation: 0 - 30 days (learn): People (know who they are) Product team structure Squad members Business stakeholders Process (learn/understand about the process) Sprint cadence Requirements gathering UAT cycles Data flow (end to end) Technology (learn which technologies are used and how where the documents are saved and how to find documents) Jira and Jira Align Technologies used in the product (python dash) GoldenSource (just what it is and what it does) How Alteryx and tableau are used SharePoint Online and Confluence 30-60 days (partial and planned ownership of few items with partnership/guidance): People (build relationships with key stakeholders) Interact with analysts and managers in key teams Interact with squad members to find and share information Process (know the processes and key players) Navigate the processes based on tasks with guidance from PO Technology (understand the functionalities of each technology used in the product) Follow the discussions regarding multiple different technologies Ability to find information from different systems with direction 60 + days (independent ownership of known items): People (manage relationships) Manage analyst level relationships to collect information and facilitate discussion (product backlog review) between squad and business resources Manage relationships with squad members Process (maintain/optimize processes) Lead processes to gather requirements Technology Co-own jira backlog and collaborate for jira align Maintain SharePoint Online and Confluence to ensure that up to date information is present Assist in testing and managing UAT timeline

Interview Plan/Process: 2-3 rounds. First round with PO, Second round with business stakeholders. Third round product team leads

Responsible for working directly with business stakeholders to shape demand and strategize on opportunities, oversee the ongoing development and delivery of technology products and platforms, and ensure the achievement of business outcomes and value. Manages the life cycle of the product. Establishes and maintains relationships with key business stakeholders. Facilitates and drives alignment among key stakeholders.

What you will do

Work with business and IT partners to develop inspiring product visions, derived from business needs, into product roadmaps that are in alignment with business and IT strategies.
Exhibits expertise across the Statistics product features and is able to partner seamlessly across the squads (including those in support of Treasury).
Interpret requirements, write user stories, and work with technical teams, developers, business analysts, UX, and internal constituents to determine the details.
Be the voice of the business customer, identifying gaps and opportunities for new capabilities, managing backlog, and prioritizing work within sprints.
Partner with Scrum master and technical teams to participate in agile ceremonies (sprint demos, retrospectives, sprint planning).
Proactively lead and collaborate with the UAT coordinator on user acceptance testing, schedule meetings, track progress, and ensure alignment with the squad for successful releases.
Works with technology teams to respond to changing priorities and delivery requirements across multiple products or product areas.
Exhibits expertise within product feature areas and coordinates with interdependent teams to provide product support.
Defines, monitors, and communicates product-specific operational KPIs once a product enters production; sets and manages targets by influencing technology support services and best practices.
Promotes agile behaviors within business areas to accelerate the transition to the new operating model.
Support overall activities and responsibilities of the Product Management team.

Qualification

2+ years of relevant experience as a Product Analyst or similar experience within an agile team environment.
Ability to work independently to drive forward Product initiatives.
Must exhibit strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative style, and can share technical ideas and approaches with others.
IT Cloud Infrastructure, software development process, and technical software experience are preferred.
Certified Product Owner preferred.
Experience with Python is a plus.
Experience in using Jira is a plus.
Experience with the GoldenSource product is a plus.
