Job Summary:
As the Assistant Engineering Branch Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the Engineering Branch Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the branch. You will assist in managing a team of engineers and technicians, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget, and maintaining strong relationships with clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Engineering Branch Manager in all aspects of branch operations
- Assist in managing a geotechnical and CMT team of engineers and technicians, providing guidance and support as needed
- Collaborate with the Engineering Branch Manager to develop and implement strategies to achieve branch goals and objectives
- Monitor project progress and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
- Conduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure quality control and safety standards are met
- Maintain strong relationships with clients and address any concerns or issues in a timely and professional manner
- Assist in developing and implementing training programs for staff to enhance their skills and knowledge
-Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior staff, fostering a collaborative environment.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements to identify potential business opportunities
- Collaborate with other departments and branches to ensure efficient and effective operations
- Prepare reports and presentations for management as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in engineering role, and supervisory or management position
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and develop a team
-Active Professional Engineer (PE) License is required
- Strong experience in geotechnical engineering and CMT.
-Background in military is preferred.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proven experience in building and maintaining strong relationships with clients
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as needed
