Position: Application Support Analyst
Direct Recruit Agency is seeking an experienced Application Support Analyst to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. As an Application Support Analyst, you will be responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting for our clients' applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- USC's only role is hybrid now - 5x/week starting September
Team coordinates, schedules, and handles disaster recovery. Want someone who is an IT generalist - "knows a little about a lot".- Experience in IT Disaster Recovery- MS Office proficiency- Someone who is familiar with the Fed and what it does
-Key aspects of the role: Planning, coordinating, and executing IT disaster testing between data centers and environments (Cloud, Colo, on-prem)

-Looking for an 8/1 start, only L1 background required
Top 5 must-have hard skills:
1. Knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Tools ( WORD, PowerPoint, OUTLOOK, TEAMS, Excel)
2. Business Continuity and IT Disaster Recovery (IT) experience
3. Moderate understanding of IT technology (DB, Middleware, network, Websphere)
4. Project management skills for small to medium-sized projects
5. Experience in the Agile methodology (JIRA)
Top 5 nice-to-have hard skills:
1. Strong interpersonal skills to include effectively communicating, coordinating, and disseminating detailed information to support IT DR /resiliency across multiple teams and various levels of management and staff within the organization.

Day-to-day Expectations: - Participate in all facets of the planning, coordinating, and supporting IT DR testing, documentation updating, and participating in the daily agile process with JIRA/ KANBAN style work.
- 30-60-90 Day Expectation: 30 days learning the ropes, 60 days starting to gain knowledge to shadow a colleague in testing coordination and support, 90 days showing the ability to independently support an IT application failover recovery test.
- Manages and controls the processing of programs and peripheral equipment on mainframe and/or distributed computer systems to ensure the highest levels of service and system availability are attained.
- Establishes production runs, ensuring that appropriate job control language, run documentation, and data files are available. Assists in job set-up.
- Performs problem identification, escalation, and resolution.
- Communicates the status of operations to allow for immediate response to service disruptions.
- Provide technical support for various applications, including troubleshooting and resolving issues promptly.
