We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Certified Weld Inspector to join our team. As a Certified Weld Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of all welding processes and procedures in the fabrication and installation of piping systems.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct visual and non-destructive examinations of welds to ensure compliance with industry standards and specifications.

- Verify that welding procedures and techniques are being followed correctly.

- Inspect materials and equipment used in welding processes to ensure they meet required standards.

- Document and report any defects or non-conformities found during inspections.

- Review and interpret welding drawings, specifications, and codes to ensure compliance.

- Collaborate with project managers and welding personnel to resolve any quality issues.

- Maintain accurate and detailed inspection records.

- Conduct pre-weld and post-weld inspections to ensure proper fit and alignment.

- Monitor and evaluate welding processes to identify areas for improvement and recommend corrective actions.

- Train and mentor junior welding inspectors and provide guidance on welding standards and procedures.

Qualifications:

- Valid certification as a Welding Inspector from a recognized institution.

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in welding inspection, preferably in the piping industry.

- In-depth knowledge of welding processes, techniques, and materials used in the fabrication and installation of piping systems.

- Strong understanding of welding codes and standards such as ASME, AWS, and API.

- Proficient in non-destructive testing methods such as visual inspection, radiography, and ultrasonic testing.

- Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify defects and non-conformities.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with project teams and personnel.

- Ability to work independently and make decisions based on inspection results.

- Willingness to travel to various job sites as needed.
