Deliver high quality field based exploration outcomes across multiple project areas. The role will support senior technical leadership through hands on geological work, leadership of small teams and delivery of programmes from early targeting through drilling.

Accountabilities

• Support the safe, efficient and effective execution of exploration programmes across technical, logistical and operational activities.
• Design and implement mapping, sampling, geochemical and drilling programmes.
• Lead the daily activities of junior geologists, field assistants and contractors.
• Collect, interpret and present high quality geological data and interpretations.
• Maintain effective relationships with internal teams, service providers and external stakeholders.
• Apply consistent geoscience standards, workflows and good practice across projects.
• Maintain strong data quality, security and quality control across geological datasets.
• Assist with exploration budget preparation, tracking and monitoring.
• Deliver programmes to schedule and within approved budgets.
• Provide timely reporting of activities, results and forward plans.
• Maintain high standards of safety, environmental stewardship and professional conduct.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geology, Earth Sciences or a related discipline.
• At least three to five years of experience in a project lead or exploration management capacity.
• Experience analysing and integrating petrography, spectrometry, geochronology and petrophysical data.
• Strong capability in mapping, sampling, core logging and exploration data collection.
• Experience supervising drilling programmes and contractors.
• Experience with geographic information and three dimensional modelling software.
• Advanced understanding of hydrothermal mineral systems, including volcanic massive sulphide, iron oxide copper gold, epithermal and porphyry copper styles.
• Strong field leadership, reporting and stakeholder communication capability.
