Lead the exploration strategy, drilling programmes, technical team and delivery of results across an emerging gold portfolio.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, combine technical leadership with corporate strategy, capital allocation, public disclosure and external communication.

A publicly listed junior exploration company advancing a portfolio of prospective gold assets in eastern Canada. The business is entering an important growth phase and requires a senior exploration leader capable of converting geological potential into disciplined programmes, credible results and a compelling corporate story.

Accountabilities

• Develop and execute the exploration strategy in alignment with broader corporate objectives.
• Lead the planning, budgeting, implementation and evaluation of exploration and drilling programmes.
• Provide technical leadership across interpretation, targeting, drill planning, field execution, data collection and results assessment.
• Lead, mentor and develop a multidisciplinary team while setting clear expectations and performance standards.
• Select and manage drilling companies, laboratories, consultants and specialist contractors.
• Maintain strong health, safety, environmental, community and responsible field practices.
• Deliver programmes safely, efficiently, within budget and according to agreed schedules and technical objectives.
• Evaluate results and advise the Chief Executive Officer and Board on priorities, expenditure, risks and future programmes.
• Contribute to corporate strategy, capital allocation, investor communication and the positioning of the exploration story.
• Prepare and review public announcements, technical presentations and corporate materials.
• Present exploration progress to investors, analysts, shareholders, stakeholders and industry audiences.
• Ensure geological data, technical reporting and public disclosure meet professional and regulatory standards.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen the portfolio through new targets, partnerships or acquisitions.

Qualifications

• Professional Geoscientist designation in Canada.
• Degree in Geology, Geoscience, Earth Sciences or a related discipline.
• Significant mineral exploration experience with direct responsibility for drilling programmes.
• Proven leadership of geologists, field teams, consultants and exploration contractors.
• Experience preparing technical content for public disclosure and presenting to external audiences.
• Strong understanding of exploration strategy, interpretation, targeting, budgeting, data quality and technical risk.
• Commercial awareness and confidence advising executive and Board stakeholders.
• Ability to travel regularly and spend meaningful time at remote project sites.
