Integrated Engineering Lead

Provide strategic engineering leadership and specialist technical expertise across integrated engineering projects, maintenance improvement initiatives and asset management programmes.
Strengthen maintenance maturity, asset reliability, operational performance and engineering effectiveness across a complex mining business.

A major international mining company operating a large scale, long life hard rock mining and processing complex in West Africa. The business continues to expand its operational capability and invest in stronger engineering, maintenance and asset management practices.
Accountabilities
- Lead multidisciplinary engineering projects and improvement initiatives from concept and technical evaluation through implementation and benefits realisation.
- Assess current maintenance management practices and lead measurable improvements in maintenance maturity.
- Provide integrated technical leadership across mechanical, electrical, civil, infrastructure, mobile mining equipment and processing plant engineering.
- Develop engineering, maintenance and asset management strategies aligned with operational requirements and long term business objectives.
- Improve asset reliability, equipment availability, lifecycle performance and maintenance effectiveness.
- Lead technical studies, engineering reviews, root cause investigations and practical solutions to complex operational challenges.
- Establish consistent engineering standards, maintenance practices, governance processes and performance measures.
- Lead engineering transformation involving process improvement, systems implementation, automation, digitisation and continuous improvement.
- Influence executives, operational leaders and technical teams through technical credibility and effective stakeholder engagement.
- Develop engineering capability through coaching, knowledge transfer and collaboration across disciplines.
- Manage project budgets, risks, schedules, reporting and governance in accordance with safety and environmental standards.
Qualifications
- Engineering degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Industrial, Mining or another recognised engineering discipline.
- At least 15 years of relevant engineering experience, including substantial senior leadership of engineering disciplines.
- Proven experience within large and complex hard rock mining operations.
- Strong experience across mining infrastructure, trackless mobile equipment and concentrator plants, with smelter exposure advantageous.
- Strong expertise in maintenance management, asset management, reliability engineering and maintenance maturity improvement.
- Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary projects and influence without direct authority.
- Project management, professional engineering, asset management, reliability or continuous improvement qualifications would be advantageous.
