We are seeking a Senior Long Term Planning Engineer with strong Deswik expertise and underground operations experience. This hands-on role will develop and manage long-term mine plans, optimise scheduling, and provide technical guidance while mentoring junior planners and supporting operational excellence across multiple projects.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and maintain long-term mine plans using Deswik or equivalent software.

Optimise underground operations through scheduling, resource allocation, and scenario modelling.

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior planning engineers.

Collaborate closely with operations, geology, and engineering teams to ensure alignment of long-term plans with operational objectives.

Monitor performance, analyse production data, and recommend improvements to maximise efficiency.

Support risk management, safety, and regulatory compliance in planning processes.

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and knowledge sharing within the planning team.
Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelors degree in Mining Engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.

Extensive experience in underground mine planning and long-term scheduling.

Strong proficiency in Deswik software; experience with other mine planning tools advantageous.

Proven experience mentoring and developing junior planning staff.

Hands-on understanding of underground mining operations, equipment, and methods.
