About the job Study Manager
The Study Manager will lead technical studies for a large-scale base metals project in South America. Reporting to the Country Manager, this role coordinates the owners team, external consultants, and contractors to deliver high-quality feasibility and pre-feasibility studies, ensuring alignment with project objectives, timelines, and budgets.
Key Responsibilities

Lead, plan, and manage multidisciplinary technical studies from scoping through feasibility.

Coordinate internal teams, external consultants, and contractors to ensure integrated study delivery.

Develop study schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.

Review technical inputs, assumptions, and outputs to ensure accuracy and quality.

Identify technical risks and mitigation strategies throughout the study lifecycle.

Facilitate communication and alignment between the project team and executive leadership.

Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure timely approvals and compliance.

Foster a culture of safety, collaboration, and innovation within the study team.
Qualifications & Experience

Bachelors degree in Mining, Metallurgy, or related field; advanced degree preferred.

Minimum 10 years experience managing technical studies in base metals or similar commodities.

Proven experience working with internal teams, external consultants, and contractors.

Strong project management skills including scheduling, budgeting, and reporting.

Spanish fluency required; strong English communication skills essential.
