Role Overview

This leadership role is accountable for the strategy, operations, and performance of the company's mining activities. You will lead the team to ensure operational excellence, meeting safety, budget, and production goals, with significant time spent on-site to drive improvement and foster leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead safe, efficient, and compliant mining operations.
• Develop and execute annual and multi-year operational plans and budgets.
• Oversee and mentor site management and technical teams.
• Implement new technologies and systems to boost performance.
• Promote a culture of communication, motivation, and accountability.
• Collaborate with the CEO and senior management to drive corporate strategy.
• Guide recruitment and retention strategies for top talent.
• Ensure financial performance, including budgeting and financial monitoring.

Requirements

• At least 20 years of experience in mining, particularly a focus on tier-1 & tier-2 operating mines.
• Previous experience as Head of Operations, CEO, COO, VP Operations, or a similar senior role across multiple operations (open pit and underground).
• Underground mining experience is essential due to site complexity.
• Strong leadership and team development skills.
• Bachelors degree in Mining Engineering (or equivalent)
• Fluent in English and Spanish.
• Experience working in South America is preferred.
