A leading international mining operator is seeking an experienced Underground Mining Manager to oversee full underground operations on a key project. This senior leadership role requires deep expertise in stoping and development within hard rock environments, combined with a strong contractor mindset.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage all underground mining activities, including stoping and development.

Lead production to meet or exceed targets while maintaining safety and operational standards.

Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements.

Take ownership of budgets and cost control initiatives.

Mentor and guide a multicultural workforce with a focus on accountability and results.

Collaborate with technical teams to align short- and long-term mine plans.

Rapidly resolve operational challenges to avoid delays and losses.

Identify opportunities for process improvements and adoption of new technologies.
Qualifications & Experience:

Strong underground mining experience, particularly in stoping and hard rock environments.

Proven leadership experience, including expatriate roles in remote or high-pressure sites.

Experience managing contractor-led mining operations.

Deep understanding of underground mining methods, systems, and equipment.

Track record of achieving production targets while controlling costs and maintaining safety.
