Job Summary: 

The PR Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and managing public relations campaigns that enhance brand visibility and positively position the company and its clients across various media channels. This role combines strategic thinking, creativity, and strong media relations to generate impactful press coverage, oversee PR events and seeding efforts, and activate partnerships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and online communities. 

Job Responsibilities:

PR Story

  • Combine creativity with knowledge of the media to recognize media angles and generate positive news coverage, profile pieces, and features across a broad media spectrum
  • Review and approve “journalist quality” of press releases.
  • Seed approved press releases to members of the media and reinforce media pickups in a timely manner.

PR Kit Seeding

  • Create a seeding list for PR kits composed of campaign-relevant PR Stakeholders to whom creative PR kits will be sent or seeded to.
  • Coordinate with media titles and KOLs in the approved seeding list for delivery of PR kits and reinforce social media postings.

PR Events

  • Create an invite list for PR events composed of campaign-relevant PR stakeholders.
  • Invite PR stakeholders to the approved invite list and ensure that the required number of attendees is attained.
  • Attend to guests during PR events and ensure they are comfortable and well-attended to.
  • Send out post-event press releases to event attendees and reinforce PR pickup in a timely manner.

KOL Activation and Community Integration

  • Create a Paid KOL Activation and Community Integration list composed of campaign-relevant KOLs and online communities that fit clients’ image, budget, and PR objectives.
  • Ensure that the required number of KOLs and online communities based on client requirements are met.
  • Ensure that the talent fees for KOLs and online communities are within the approved budget.
  • Negotiate with KOLs and online communities’ talent fees in the approved lists and get them officially onboard.
  • Create MOAs for paid KOLs and online communities, and have them sign the MOAs to make sure agreements are protected.
  • Lead the creation of content plans for all paid KOL and community posts.
  • Coordinate with KOLs and online communities in making sure the posting schedule and content plan are followed.

PR Monitoring and Reporting

  • For PR Stories, PR Kit Seeding, and PR Events, help the PR Analytics Executive in tracking PR pickups and social media posts from media and KOLs.
  • For KOL Activation and Community Integration, ask for statistics and analytics of all paid social media posts and requirements, and work with the PR Analytics Executive in creating reports.

Others

  • Manage team deliverables and mentor interns.
  • Fully participate in brainstorming sessions by sharing creative and innovative ideas
  • Ensure all work is completed within the allotted budget and agreed timeline.
  • Be constantly on the lookout for new media titles and KOLs to expand the PR network.
  • Be constantly updated with the latest PR trends and executions in different fields.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business / Marketing /Communications or other related fields of studies preferred.
  • 1+ years of relevant experience as a Public Relations Manager preferred.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in public relations, marketing, or related fields.
  • Proficiency in MS Tools, Google Apps, and Canva.
  • Experience working with social media advertising platforms.
  • Strong understanding of media needs and media relationships.
  • Detail-oriented and analytical.
  • Strong time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills with the ability to effectively train others.
  • Highly adaptable to an inclusive and diverse work environment.
