Registered Manager Residential Children's Home
Location: Kent
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 (dependent on experience)
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Are you a passionate and experienced leader in children's residential care? We are seeking a Registered Manager to oversee our newly established children's home in Maidstone, Kent.
About the Role:
As the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care for children with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD). The Registered Manager will lead a team of dedicated professionals, ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations and providing a safe, nurturing environment where children can thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a team to provide outstanding care
- Ensure compliance with Children's Home Regulations & Ofsted standards
- Develop and implement care plans tailored to individual needs
- Oversee safeguarding, health & safety, and staff training
- Manage budgets and resources effectively
- The Registered Manager will maintain strong relationships with local authorities, social workers, and other stakeholders
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager in a children's residential setting
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards)
- Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015
- Passionate about improving the lives of vulnerable children
- Ability to lead, inspire, and manage a team effectively
