Are you an experienced Registered Manager or Deputy Manager looking for your next challenge in children's residential care? Do you want to lead a passionate team in a brand-new residential children's home and make a lasting impact on the lives of young people?

We're seeking a Registered Children's Home Manager to launch and lead a new Ofsted-regulated children's home, supporting young people aged 818 with complex behavioural, emotional, and social needs (BESD/EBD).

About the Role

As a Registered Manager, you'll be responsible for the successful setup and ongoing operations of our new children's residential service. You'll lead, inspire, and manage a dedicated team to ensure the home delivers high-quality care, meets all Ofsted regulatory standards, and supports children in achieving positive, meaningful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of the home's day-to-day operations
  • Lead, supervise, and develop a team of residential support workers
  • Ensure full compliance with Children's Homes Regulations 2015, Ofsted Quality Standards, and the Children's Act 1989
  • Promote a culture centred around safeguarding, independence, and positive behaviour support.
  • Work closely with local authorities, social workers, and external professionals.
  • Maintain financial oversight, including budget management and business viability.
  • The Registered Manager will drive continuous improvement through audits, inspections, and team development
  • Be part of the on-call rota and be flexible to work across a 7-day week (including weekends, nights, and sleep-ins)

What Were Looking For

We are looking for a compassionate, driven, and experienced leader who is committed to providing the highest standard of care for vulnerable children and young people.

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (Children & Young People's Residential Services) or willingness to achieve it within 6 months
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working in a residential childcare setting (within the last 5 years)
  • A Registered Manager with at least 1 year of experience managing or supervising staff in a care environment
  • Strong working knowledge of Children's Homes Regulations, Ofsted standards, and safeguarding legislation
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
  • Passion for making a real difference in the lives of vulnerable young people
  • Flexibility to meet the demands of a 24/7 care service
