Role Summary

Client is seeking a highly skilled Staff AI Engineer to lead the design and implementation of advanced AI-driven conversational experiences for enterprise clients. You will drive technical decisions across the AI platform, collaborate cross-functionally with global teams, and ensure seamless integration with key tools and frameworks to deliver exceptional customer experiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of next-generation conversational AI platform components, including sales, marketing, and analytics modules.
• Drive optimization and scalability of AI-serving infrastructure on AWS.
• Collaborate on system components integrating with CRMs, WhatsApp APIs, and eCommerce platforms such as Shopify and VTEX.
• Partner with product, sales, and cross-functional engineering teams to deliver impactful AI solutions.
• Define and communicate technical strategies for platform architecture and individual components.
• Ensure high performance, reliability, and an outstanding customer experience throughout all AI initiatives.

Requirements

• BS or MS in Computer Science or related field.
• 10+ years of hands-on engineering experience in the technology industry.
• 3+ years of experience building and launching AI products.
• Expertise in Python and TypeScript for developing backend and frontend solutions.
• Proven ability to deliver complex solutions in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
• Practical experience with LLM technologies, prompting techniques, and modern testing methodologies.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms, particularly AWS and GCP.
• Strong communication skills and ability to lead technical design and strategy.
• Curiosity, adaptability, and drive to excel in a dynamic startup setting.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with recent agentic frameworks and building autonomous AI systems.
• Experience integrating multiple data sources and APIs into scalable AI applications.
