Role Overview
We are seeking a hands-on and execution-focused Community & Growth Lead to drive the expansion and engagement of this ecosystem. This role sits at the intersection of community, marketing, and business development ideal for someone who understands DeFi and crypto-native culture, and can operate directly with tools, data, and campaigns.
You will be responsible for leading the community strategy, user acquisition, social media, external partnerships, and growth marketing initiatives. Deep knowledge of DeFi protocols and AI-driven marketing workflows is required.
Key Responsibilities
Community Growth & Management
- Design and execute community-building strategies across Telegram, X (Twitter), and other Web3 platforms.
- Build an audience for online live events on Twitter Spaces/YouTube Live.
- Launch and manage ambassador, referral, and incentive programs.
- Grow and nurture global grassroots communities and regional leaders.
- Monitor community sentiment and use feedback to inform product and messaging.
Growth Marketing
- Lead multi-channel user acquisition campaigns (organic and paid).
- Implement and optimize data-driven growth funnels with a focus on activation, retention, and LTV.
- Work with AI marketing tools to improve targeting and automation.
- Oversee newsletters, blog content, lifecycle marketing, and SEO/SEM efforts.
Social & PR
- Build and execute the social content calendar with a Web3-native tone and cadence.
- Manage or coordinate with PR partners for announcements, media relations, and thought leadership.
- Represent the company at online and physical events, AMAs, panels, and ecosystem summits.
Ecosystem & Business Development
- Cultivate relationships with wallets, aggregators, influencers, DAOs, and DeFi protocols.
- Drive integrations, co-marketing, and strategic growth partnerships.
- Collaborate with product and BD teams to align community efforts with roadmap and token launches.
Team Leadership & Reporting
- Define KPIs and OKRs across community and growth, report results to the executive team.
- Manage marketing/growth budget and tool stack.
Requirements & Qualifications
Experience
- 5+ years in a growth, marketing, or community role, with at least 2 years in Web3/crypto.
- Proven track record of growing large, engaged DeFi or blockchain communities.
- Experience scaling from early-stage to tens or hundreds of thousands of users.
- Technical Fluency
- Deep understanding of DeFi protocols, token mechanics, staking, DEXs, governance, and wallets.
- Comfortable explaining how on-chain systems work to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Familiar with AI-driven marketing tools (content generation, segmentation, funnel automation).
- Communication & Leadership
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong public speaker and confident representing the brand externally.
- Experience hiring, mentoring, and managing a distributed team.
- Preferred
- Experience working with or building DAO communities.
- Prior success launching a token or running a TGE/community campaign.
- Familiarity with analytics tools (Dune, Nansen, Google Analytics, HubSpot, etc.).
