About the job Game Designer — Social-Casino / Mobile Games
Our Client
Our client is an established, global mobile-games and utility-apps publisher with more than a decade in the market. One of their self-developed titles has passed 10M+ downloads on Google Play and racked up 56K+ App Store ratings, holding a 4.8-star average across both platforms. Building on that track record, they're now expanding into the Social-Casino / Sweepstakes genre — slots and casino-style social games built around a compliant, coupon-based rewards model for the US market — and are standing up new, largely autonomous studios across several regions to support that push.
Why This Role Exists
This is a newly created role inside a brand-new independent studio being built around this business line. You'd join as the design lead, reporting to the studio's Game Producer, with a mandate to produce compliant, high-retention, high-monetization Social-Casino content that keeps the game's live version iterating.
What You'll Work On
End-to-End Game Design Ownership: Own gameplay, systems, slot-machine, and event content design for this Social-Casino title — producing the design documents, working with R&D on implementation, and iterating the product based on data, within a compliance framework supported by a dedicated team.
Feature & Content Creation: Create fun, engaging game features and content that keep players coming back.
Cross-Team Coordination: Work closely with developers, artists, and programmers to keep the full development process on track and protect delivery quality.
Market & Cultural Research: Study industry trends, best practices, and cultural preferences across different countries to inform design decisions.
QA & Process Compliance: Test ongoing tasks and hold the line on process compliance.
Data-Driven Iteration: Analyze and interpret data to reach clear conclusions that shape feature and content decisions.
Upward Pitching: Pitch new game concepts to management.
Requirements
Deep, hands-on understanding of the game industry, ideally with successful cases in the Casual or Casino category.
At least 3 years of mobile-game design experience, with complete experience on launched projects.
Hands-on slots or social-casino design experience — whether your focus has been on game economy, systems, events, or slot-machine numerics.
Comfortable operating within a compliant, non-gambling Sweepstakes-model framework (top-ups, redemption, and cash rewards) built for the U.S. market, spanning slot machines and Texas Hold'em-style games.
Strong market-trend awareness and curiosity, with the ability to research and adapt to cultural preferences across regions.
Comfortable using data to draw conclusions and support design decisions.
Background at a recognized social-casino or slots-style mobile game studio.
Bachelor's degree or above in game design, computer science, computer engineering, or a related field.
Excellent English — C1 or above (reading, writing, and speaking).
Nice to Have
Sweepstakes project design experience, including slot-machine math — RTP, volatility, paytables.
Game economy design, LiveOps events, and A/B testing skills, with the ability to deliver complete design documents and configuration tables.
Experience on launched Social-Casino products, with quantifiable version-iteration business outcomes.
Your own network of game-development talent you could bring on board.
