Job Summary:
The Service Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations of the service workshop, ensuring repair and maintenance jobs are completed efficiently, safely, and to manufacturer standards. This role acts as a link between technicians, service advisors, and management, providing technical guidance, quality control, and workflow management.
Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of automotive technicians and workshop staff.

Allocate work orders to technicians based on skill level and job requirements.

Monitor job progress and ensure repairs and services are completed on time and to the required standards.

Conduct quality control checks on completed work before vehicles are released to customers.

Provide technical support and guidance to technicians for complex repairs and diagnostics.

Ensure workshop equipment is maintained and used safely and effectively.

Assist in managing warranty and claim processes in line with manufacturer guidelines.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in accordance with health & safety regulations.

Communicate job status and any delays to the Service Advisors and Management team.

Support technician training and development through on-the-job coaching and performance reviews.
Requirements:

Proven experience as a senior technician or service supervisor in an automotive workshop.

Strong technical knowledge of vehicle systems, diagnostics, and repair procedures.

Excellent leadership and organizational skills.

Ability to manage workloads, prioritize tasks, and solve problems effectively.

Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
