Job Summary:

The Service Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations of the service workshop, ensuring repair and maintenance jobs are completed efficiently, safely, and to manufacturer standards. This role acts as a link between technicians, service advisors, and management, providing technical guidance, quality control, and workflow management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of automotive technicians and workshop staff.

  • Allocate work orders to technicians based on skill level and job requirements.

  • Monitor job progress and ensure repairs and services are completed on time and to the required standards.

  • Conduct quality control checks on completed work before vehicles are released to customers.

  • Provide technical support and guidance to technicians for complex repairs and diagnostics.

  • Ensure workshop equipment is maintained and used safely and effectively.

  • Assist in managing warranty and claim processes in line with manufacturer guidelines.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in accordance with health & safety regulations.

  • Communicate job status and any delays to the Service Advisors and Management team.

  • Support technician training and development through on-the-job coaching and performance reviews.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a senior technician or service supervisor in an automotive workshop.

  • Strong technical knowledge of vehicle systems, diagnostics, and repair procedures.

  • Excellent leadership and organizational skills.

  • Ability to manage workloads, prioritize tasks, and solve problems effectively.

  • Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
