SC 22 - OBD Engineer (Thermal / HVAC)

Role Overview
Seeking an Automotive OBD Engineer with strong experience in Thermal and HVAC systems diagnostics. This role focuses on developing OBD monitors, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting validation activities for vehicle HVAC and thermal management systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and calibrate OBD diagnostic monitors for HVAC, cooling systems, and refrigerant circuits.
• Translate OBD regulations (CARB/EPA/EU) into diagnostic logic and system requirements.
• Perform data analysis, vehicle testing, and HIL validation for OBD monitor performance.
• Support issue root-cause analysis, documentation, and certification deliverables.
• Collaborate with Thermal, Controls, Calibration, and Software teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in mechanical, Electrical, or Automotive Engineering.
• Experience with OBD development in automotive applications.
• Knowledge of HVAC, thermal loops, refrigerant systems, and related sensors/actuators.
• Familiarity with tools such as INCA, CANalyzer, MATLAB, or similar.
