Position Title: General Worker

Reports To: Production Supervisor

Primary Objective: To assist in the production of quality bakery products under safe and hygienic conditions that meet or exceed customer expectations. To provide the skilled labour necessary, including technical and clerical input, according to standard operating procedures for the manufacture of products. This role shall assist in maintaining the plant and equipment in the clean and organized conditions, appropriate for the production of baked goods.

Qualifications and Experience Required: A minimum of three (3) CXCs including English Language and Mathematics. A minimum of one (1) years’ experience would be an asset.

  • Must have the physical strength and stamina to lift and move goods repeatedly.

Summary of Major Responsibilities:

  1. To operate the Pan Loader, Rack Loader, and Proofer Loader/Un-loader.
  2. Handling and inspecting pans, racks, and dough at various stages of production, ensuring cleanliness and proper operation of machinery.
  3. To operate the oven and lid handling.
  • Loading/unloading ovens, handling pans and lids to ensure baking efficiency without damaging the products.
  • To provide general assistance as needed.
  • Assisting machine operators and other workers in tasks like stacking pans, cleaning equipment, and maintaining production flow.
  1. To assist with product wrapping and packaging.
  • Inspecting and wrapping baked products for packaging and delivery while minimizing product damage and wastage.
  1. To ensure the plant remains compliant with health and safety standards.
  • Ensuring hygiene and product safety, complying with health and safety standards (HACCP, GMP), and minimizing product wastage.

6. To perform general cleaning and maintenance tasks.

  • Regular cleaning of work areas and equipment to maintain production standards.

7. To perform any other related duties and tasks as assigned by the Route

Manager/Distribution Manager/Supervisor.
