We are seeking experienced Commissioning Engineers to support onshore oil and gas projects during the Engineering Phase (FEED, Detailed Design, and Detailed Engineering). The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing commissioning philosophies, strategies, and deliverables that ensure safe, efficient, and timely project execution through to pre-commissioning and handover.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and review commissioning strategies, procedures, and execution plans during FEED and Detailed Engineering.
  • Prepare commissioning deliverables including philosophies, system/subsystem breakdowns, commissioning schedules, and manpower requirements.
  • Provide input into the design process to ensure commissioning, start-up, and operational requirements are incorporated.
  • Work closely with engineering disciplines (process, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, etc.) to ensure design supports safe and efficient commissioning.
  • Review vendor documentation for compliance with commissioning and start-up requirements.
  • Define pre-commissioning and commissioning spare parts, tools, and consumables.
  • Support the preparation of system handover procedures, including interface with construction and operations teams.
  • Participate in HAZOPs, design reviews, and model reviews, ensuring commissioning perspectives are addressed.
  • Provide technical support to procurement and construction teams regarding commissioning-related requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with international standards, project specifications, and HSE requirements.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Chemical, or related discipline).
  • 8-15 years of experience as a Commissioning Engineer in onshore oil and gas projects.
  • Proven track record of working in the Engineering Phase (FEED, Detailed Design, and Detailed Engineering).
  • Strong knowledge of commissioning practices, industry codes, and standards (API, ASME, IEC, etc.).
  • Experience preparing commissioning deliverables, execution strategies, and system/subsystem definitions.
  • Strong multidisciplinary coordination and communication skills.
