PIPING ENGINEER - MATERIAL

As a Piping Engineer, you will be responsible for managing piping bulk materials, including requisitioning, vendor data management, and material control activities across FEED and EPC project phases.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare and maintain piping material requisitions (PRs) and purchase orders
• Develop and manage piping material specifications, line class tables, and commodity codes
• Coordinate with procurement for piping material sourcing, TBEs, and order placement
• Track and expedite piping bulk material deliveries to support construction schedules
• Review vendor submittals for piping commodities (fittings, flanges, valves, etc.)
• Maintain piping material control database and generate material status reports
• Coordinate with piping layout and stress teams on material requirements
• Support warehouse material receipt and inspection activities

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• 8+ years of experience in piping material engineering within oil & gas EPC projects
• Strong knowledge of piping material specifications: ASME B16 series, ASTM, API
• Familiarity with piping classes, material selection, and corrosion allowances
• Proficiency in SAP, Smart Materials, or equivalent ERP/material management tools
• Good knowledge of procurement and expediting processes
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
